Alavanos: Plan B' essential for Greece

Alekos Alavanos is coming back to the political scene, preparing a party based on the exit of Greece from the euro, which will be present in the European Parliament elections.

In an interview at SKAI TV, the former president of Synaspismos said the only way for Greece out of the crisis is to leave the euro and return to a national currency.

Greece he added, needs a plan B'.

"If Greece had gotten out of the EU, we would have been much better today. No country in the world has managed to emerge from a crisis under a "hard" currency. The euro is a hard and expensive currency," he said.

 "It is schizophrenic to have the same currency as Germany while Germany, unlike us, has a steady course," Alavanos stated.
