Germany is sending a new message about strict compliance with the commitments undertaken by Greece, this time through its Foreign minister Guido Westerwelle, who in an interview in Bild rejects any possibility of renegotiation of the fiscal adjustment program.
"I see that Greece is seeking to renegotiate the situation and that actually undermines the obligations for reforms in the country. I simply say: This will not happen" he says, and asks Greeks to clearly show that they want to remain in the Eurozone.
"Greece must not only say it wants to remain in the Eurozone, but act with a specific policy of reforms and respect its commitments," Westerwelle says.
