Tsipras guarantees euro, deposits, insurance and pensions

In the central pre-election speech in Omonia on Thursday evening, Alexis Tsipras appeared as a guarantor for the country’s stay in the euro, as well as for the people's pensions and deposits, which were put at risk by the memorandum.

The SYRIZA president warned speculators: "Do not bet your money on Greece's exit from the Εurozone on Monday because you will lose!" He said that Monday will mark the end of the bankrupt memorandum and that SYRIZA guarantees all that was compromised, meaning the stay ιn the euro and the deposits and pensions of the people.

Tsipras placed particular emphasis on citizen safety as well, talking about reorganizing the police force and removing officers from guarding politicians, journalists, businessmen, etc. He launched a fierce attack against ND and PASOK, recalling the commitments made by the additional measures of over 11, 5 billion euros that involve new cuts in wages and layoffs in the public sector.

"Even if we achieve a clear majority this Sunday, we will cooperate on Monday. But we will not take part in any government that would transmute the anti-memorandum vote of the people into a memorandum policy," he stressed.
