Three people died in a fire that broke out at 18:00 in a basement where a
motorcycle repair shop is housed, at the intersection of Himaras and
Aidiniou Street in Vironas.
The fire was put under control shortly after 19.00.
On the spot there are 24 firefighters and eight vehicles.
So far, the cause of the fire remains unknown, but the victims, aged from 30 to 40 years of age, seem to have lost consciousness due to the fumes and died from suffocation and the ensuing fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
