This is the first resignation of an MP from the ND side due to the measures of the new memorandum.
In a letter addressed to the secretary of the ND PG Kostas Tasoulas, Trikala MP and former deputy minister in Karamanlis’ government Nikos Legas announces his resignation.
Among other things he says that “he doesn’t feel he has the authorization by the people of Trikala” to vote for the new memorandum.
The first runner-up for his position is Theodoros Srekas.
