War of nerves until the last minute
In the next 4 weeks Papademos must correct the deficiencies identified by the the Troika in redundancy, insurance and lockdowns in the state. Around the same time, we will see the succession in the presidency of PASOK or its decay. The internal condition of the once-powerful movement is just tragic:

* Employees have not been paid for two months, it’s the 19th now and only their bonus is secured. And Ippokratous owes more than 150 million euros. The polls show the party at 12-17%.

* Venizelos is now separating the five months of his own ministership from the two years that preceded it.

* Loverdos told “THEMA” that even with Papademos the country is sinking.

* Diamantopoulou wants an extension for the government.
Κλείσιμο

* Chrisochoidis continues aggressively.

* Moves are being made on all sides at the perimeter of the party to create new factions.

In this climate, everything relating to Papandreou's stance carries weight. There is no room for mixed messages, as he must immediately start a debate on the reestablishment of PASOK, or the centrifugal forces that have developed will become uncontrollable. The delay and the conflicting leaks regarding the intentions of the president have already caused anxiety to his potential successors and unrest to mid-level members and ministers.

The crisis in PASOK is so deep that members disagree even about the life of Papademos’ government. Venizelos has made it clear that apart from the bond exchange program he is handling, any new measures will have to be taken by a new government. Andreas Loverdos seems to be siding with him. Troika members however, such as Anna Diamantopoulou and Elias Mossialos, want an extension for the elections even as long as after the summer, a request that will never be accepted by the ND.

It should be noted that in two months, Greece will be ready to receive the seventh tranche of 80 billion euros, which with the implementation of the PSI will reach 130 billion. As you can see, it is a lot of money…
