Despite risks and pressure, George Papandreou insisted: "EU decisions carry responsibilities. Because of the dissatisfaction I
thought it important that the Greek people make these decisions. We will organize a referendum on December 4. I will be back in Greece and inform the leaders of the other parties. I believe the Greek people are wise and will make the right decisions."
