"Sizzling" weather this week

The weather on Monday, July 11th, will be sunny with high temperatures and enhanced winds in the Aegean.

Temperatures in northern Greece will range from 17 to 38 degrees, 18-37 in the West, 19-36 in the Greek mainland and 20-30 in the island regions.

Aegean winds will blow from the north, and will be moderate to strong in the Cyclades and the Icarian and Carpathian seas. The Ionian winds will be weak to moderate northwesterlies.

Sunshine and winds are expected in Athens on Monday. The temperature will reach 34 or 35 degrees Celcius. Moderate northern winds in the Saronic Gulf and almost gale force winds in southern Evia are expected.

Thessaloniki’s weather will be characterized by sunshine. The temperature will reach 32 degrees.

Tuesday and Wednesday

Weather: Generally clear, and only in the afternoon will isolated showers and clouds occur in the west and the mountains of the north.

Wind: from the North, 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale and 5 to 7 in the Aegean.

Temperature: a small, gradual decline
