Extra tax for politicians elected after 1974

Today in an interview on Real FM radio station,  Mr Ragousis proposed a new extra tax to be imposed in all civil servants who after 1974, have held high positions and have benefitted from the financial boom of the past.

The Minister noted that the government is obliged ethically and historically to “clean up the country from corruption” after the Mid-Term plan is imposed.

Analysing his proposal, he noted that this extra tax should be imposed on all ministers, MPs, officials and directors of tax offices, urban planning offices and the public health system.

«Such solutions have been discussed and they could be enriched after the implementation of the new tax law in order to gain the trust of the people. It is a fact that we have not been able yet to persuade people that we are spreading the 'sacrifices and burdens' of this crisis evenly», said the Minister.
