Rainy weather around the country for the weekend

Cloudy skies are expected around the country, which will bring rain in the east and north, while sporadic storms will occur in the eastern Aegean, Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese. Winds will be northeastern, locally 8B in the Aegean.

Local rain is expected in Attica, with northern-northeastern winds at 5-7B, temporarily 8 in the east, and the temperature ranging from 10 to 15C.

The sky in Thessaloniki will become gloomier during midday and the afternoon hours, with northwestern winds at 3-5B, which will turn to southeastern at 4-5B in the afternoon. The temperature will range between 5 and 15C.

Similar weather is predicted for central and western Macedonia, with chances of rain on the mountains. Winds in the west will be low, and in the east they will be eastern-northeastern at 4-6 and temporarily 7B, and will decline during the night. The temperature will reach 5 to 17C.

Increased cloud is expected for Epirus, the Ionian Sea, the western mainland and western Peloponnisos, which will bring sporadic rain to Peloponnisos and possibly the rest of the mountainous areas in the afternoon. Winds will be northern at 3-5B and temporarily 6 in the Ionian, with the temperature ranging from 4 to 21C.

Local rain is also predicted for Thessaly, the eastern mainland, Evia and eastern Peloponnisos. Winds will be northern- northeastern at 5-7B, temporarily 8 in the east and south, and the temperature will be at 6-17C.

The Cyclades and Crete will see some local rain as well, with chances of sporadic storms. The phenomena will decrease gradually in the afternoon. Winds will be northern-northwestern at 6-8B and the temperature will range between 8 and 18C.

Rain and sporadic storms are predicted for the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese, which will be limited gradually in the south. Winds will be northern-northeastern at 6-8B. In the east they will be southern at 4-6B and will turn to northwestern during the night. The temperature will range between 9 and 19C.

Minor local rainfall is expected on Sunday for the northern Aegean, the eastern mainland, Evia, the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese. Sporadic storms are expected in the afternoon in the southeastern parts of the country, but will gradually decrease in the afternoon. The rest of the country will have slightly overcast skies that will increase in the afternoon and bring local rain and possibly storms, mainly on the mountain areas of the mainland. Winds in the west will be western-northwestern at 3-5B, northern at 4-6B in the east and 7B in the Aegean. The temperature will increase slightly.
