The man had been dealing with a case of illegal construction in a coastal area was labelled an archaelogical site. Due to a
mistake of the Bureau of Bulidings, his name was included in the list of offenders who were putting up buildings in the area and was called upon to pay a fine of
36,000 euros.
The officer was put on trial as an
illegal contractor of a 50sq.m. building. He realised that an employee
had mistakenly included his name, since as an officer his name could be found in
the paperwork relating to the spot check conducted of the area!
The trial documents
were amended and he finally cleared his name.
