Rain and cold at the start of this week

This week starts with rain in the west and snow on the mountains. Frost will form in the north and it will be locally strong in Macedonia and Thrace.

There will be cloud in Attica and there is a chance of rain. Winds will be northeastern, 2-4B, and from the afternoon 5B in the east. Temperature will range between 3 and 10 degrees.

Overcast skies and rain are expected for Thessaloniki too, and there is a chance of temporary snowfall in the surrounding mountains. Winds will be variable, up to 3B, and the temperature will range between 2-8C.

For Tuesday the weather forecast anticipates cloud mainly in the central northern mainland and a chance of light rain or sleet in the lowlands and snow in the mountains. Winds in the west will be eastern-southeastern, 5-7B. In the east they will be eastern-northeastern, 4-6B. Temperature will remain at low levels and frost will form in the mainland, locally heavy in the central and northern parts.
