Ryanair: Athens is a goldmine
Just one month from the beginning of flights from Athens, Ryanair revised plans, due to the huge demand that exists both within Greece and abroad.

As such, from the beginning of September, another aircraft will be added (to the two currently operating) in Athens, while they are increasing their flights from Eleftherios Venizelos airport from 154 to 222 per week.

At the same time, they add new destinations with direct services to Brussels and Rome and due to high demand add a second daily flight from London to Athens.

According to data from the company, during the first three weeks of operations, Ryanair transported 125000 passengers from Athens, 130000 from Thessaloniki and 80000 from Chania.

Ryanair's officials, when asked about how many employees they have hired, responded that for now, they have moved around 120 people from European bases, to Athens (pilots and cabin crew), while in the coming months more will be added, who will be working in Athens, Thessaloniki and Chania.
