The government of the Ukraine has fulfilled the conditions for financial assistance from the international financial institutions, in accordance to what the IMF announced on Thursday, while its board is expected to meet on April 30th to consider the matter and decide whether to give the final approval.

Moreover, in late March, the IMF tentatively agreed to grant a two-year loan of 14-18 billion dollars in order to aid the Ukraine, who is on the verge of bankruptcy, to recover after many months of political and fiscal crises.

IMF spokesman Gerry Rice, during a press conference in Washington, did not specify the exact amount of the loan, but a well-informed source stated that it would amount to 17 billion dollars.

Despite tensions between the Ukraine and Russia, Rice assured everyone that the political situation does not prevent the IMF's commitment towards Kiev.

Rice also stated that the IMF continues to include Crimea it is calculations for the Urkainian economy, although the peninsula was annexed by Ryssia after the controversial referendum on independence.
