Tax authorities reach on deposits, wages and rents
Tax authorities have started a “safari” of seizures, auctions and prosecutions aimed at the recovery of arrears.

According to reports, so far it is auditing 131,807 borrowers and puts a “hand” on their personal wealth, as it is taking part of their deposits directly from the bank, part of their salary from the company they might be working in, while if they are collecting rents it asks the owners to deposit their rents directly to the state coffers.

In 2013 tax authorities initiated seizure proceedings for the assets of 53,129 past-due borrowers and fraudsters, while criminal prosecutions were brought on 26,516 borrowers.

As was disclosed, tax authorities auctioned off approximately 20,000 properties in 2013 as the ban does not apply to auctions for debts to the state and the social security funds but only to banks and third parties.

The number of seizures on deposits, wages, rents, etc. in past-due borrowers and fraudsters in 2013 increased by 52,007 compared to 2012.
