Troika in Athens from next Tuesday with "gifts" of 1 billion euros
Partners of the Greek government in Athens said that Troika will return to Greece immediately after the Eurogroup next Monday to close the agreement for the 1 billion pending July tranche within 3-4 days. Although they have not arranged a meeting, the road opened after the fulfillment of the third of the four prerequisites.

The joint ministerial decision that determines how to repay or offset State debts to EYDAP was published yesterday in the Government Gazette, the conditions for mobility and changes in the Lawyers' Code have been met and that decisions on the Greek Defence Systems have almost closed.

The deal between the Greek government and Troika for the Greek defense industries may close until the Eurogroup this Monday and will provide, reportedly, for the keeping of the industries while in operation with at least 500 layoffs, for as long as the company can remain viable without sinking into deficits.

Meanwhile in Athens, speaking in parliament on the budget for 2014, Avramopoulos said "the Ministry of Defence has taken up the rescue of EAS and ELBO. We will exhaust any chance for their consolidation."

The release of 1 billion euros, which is the last subdose of July, does not require a new decision of the Eurogroup. The Euro Working Group (EWG) will just need to verify that the prerequisites have been met and suggest to the European Stability Mechanism the disbursement of the amount.

Regarding the fourth assessment of the Greek program, the Community officer simply said that the issue would be discussed at the Eurogroup, but there is no development about the budgetary gap.

But the pressure on these issues moves to the Greek side as it will have to retreat before 1.1.2014 when Greece will take the EU presidency. For this reason and after 18 months of delays, the bill for the single property tax is expected to be filed in parliament next week.
