Eurostat: Unemployment in Eurozone reached 12.2% in September
Greece ranks first in Europe with 27.6% - Youth unemployment at 57.3%
The unemployment rate in the Eurozone stood at 12.2% in September 2013, unchanged in comparison to August, while in the EU of the "28" it stood at 11%.
According to Eurostat figures published today Thursday, the unemployed people in the Eurozone rose by 996,000 in September 2013 and by 978,000 in the EU.
According to Eurostat, the unemployed amounted to 26.872 million people in the EU of the "28", of which 19.447 million are in the Eurozone.
The highest unemployment rates in the EU appear in Greece with 27.6% and Spain with 26.6%.
