The Greek government is preparing to welcome troika with positive messages from the tax collection field as in May, for a second straight month, the state revenues exceeded the monthly target, as a senior member of the Finance Ministry said.

Based on the initial data for the first five months, it seems that perhaps the black hole that had opened up in revenues since the beginning of the year was completely covered.

However, the implementation data for the general government show that by April there is a primary deficit of 462 million euros against one of  915 million euros last year. And if interest payments were not reduced to almost 1/3 (2,267 billion euros against 7.563 billion at the first quarter last year) the total deficit would be quite higher.
