Papandreou will be summoned immediately

"Rumors for the forced transfer of Papandreou in the preliminary committee are invalid. The former prime minister will be summoned but it is not scheduled when," says the committee after receiving the emails that Ioannis Diotis submitted and which show Papandreou being informed in detail about the handling of the case.

In his testimony today Diotis attempts to blur the impressions and conclusions generated by the electronic correspondence with Yorgos Papakonstantinou or leads most members of the committee in the estimation that "the Lagarde list was handled at a top level. According to information, he said he did not know whether Papandreou was aware of the handling of the list and that he asked to meet with Kostas Bikas "to tell me how the list arrived in Greece and not how the Financial Crime Unit will work on it."


In addition, Diotis reportedly said that a meeting was held on 22.8.2011 concerning tax evasion and the issue of Greek deposits in Swiss banks but with no reference to the Lagarde list and included "Papandreou, Venizelos, Plaskovitis, Vartzeli, Papoutsis, Oikonomou and Milt. Papaioannou."
