Weather will worsen from today

Weather: cold and rainy, with frost and snow on the mountains.
Temperature: will slightly increase during the day but during the night frost will appear in several regions. -6 – 8C in northern Greece, up to 5C in western Macedonia, -1 – 9C in central Greece, 5 – 12 in southern Greece, 0 – 8C in Epirus, 3 – 14C in western Greece and 4 – 13C in the Aegean and Crete.
Winds: northern low to moderate in the Aegean, increased to almost stormy in the southeastern Aegean, low in the Ionian and northwestern almost moderate in the south.

Attica
Weather: transiently overcast mainly in the north and east.
Temperature: 3 – 11C, 3 lower in the north.
Winds: northern low.

Thessaloniki
Weather: lightly overcast with gradual increase.
Temperature: will reach 8C.

Winds: northwestern low to moderate.

Saturday
Weather: light cloud in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and northeastern Aegean, sleet and light snowfall in mountainous and semi-mountainous regions in western and central Macedonia, and for the rest of the country local rainfall, storms mainly in the west and south, snowfall on the mountains and hilly areas of the continental regions. It will gradually improve from the west moving to most of the continental regions.
Winds: northeastern 5 – 8B in the west, central, north and the Aegean, eastern-southeastern 6 – 7B in the rest of the country.
Temperature: will slightly increase on the low levels but there will be frost in the northern continental regions.
