Series of strikes across the country from tomorrow

A tight grip of strikes will take hold of the country from Wednesday, leading to the 24 hr-strike announced by GSEE-ADEDI for Thursday, in protest against the new measures promoted by the government.

Doctors, lawyers, notaries, pharmacists and dentists will join forces with judges and prosecutors.

The protests will culminate on Thursday with the 24-hour strike in both the private and public sectors, which will include federations of workers such as bank employees, workers in SOEs, Funds, insurance companies, etc.

Problems with transportation

TRENOSE and suburban rail workers will join the 24-hr strike, while there will be no taxi services from 8 am to 5 pm.

Bus, tram, metro and electric rail workers are heading toward a series of work stoppages and are expected to announce their decisions later today.

Engineers will join in with new protests after the fruitless talks with the leadership of the Labour ministry yesterday.

Journalists are expected to join the 24-hr strike tomorrow and carry out a work stoppage on Thursday from 11 am to 3 pm.
