ND – SYRIZA fight about default

"Default is the weapon of the weak and must not be used as a bogeyman," Panagiotis Lafazanis said on Alpha 989 radio station, adding that Greece should send a message that it is not prepared to accept just anything.

The SYRIZA parliamentary spokesman said that an extension is not an option because it will be accompanied by additional measures. ''It will prolong the torture with no prospect'' he said, stressing that austerity is the actual problem. He also predicted major reactions from the parliamentary groups of the government parties against the measures of 11.5 billion euros.

The ND press office issued the following statement: "With his statement today, the SYRIZA parliamentary spokesman, Mr. Lafazanis, hopes for the country's default. A few weeks ago he was openly looking for our exit from the euro and Europe. Neither the Greek people nor the government will do him this favor. Such statements are a disgrace."

ND continues the dirty war of mud throwing, manipulation and misinformation, as it is the last weapon left to a government party that collapses while destroying the country, says the SYRIZA press office about the ND announcement.

“New Democracy should not be talking about default, since the whole government continues to implement possible the destructive memorandum recipe in the harshest way, driving the country to default and an exit from the Eurozone. Mud throwing, slander and misinformation no longer convince anyone. The king is naked,” the statement concludes.
