Liana, Dourou and Kasidiaris in the same Parliamentary Committee

The new composition of the Standing Committee on Defence and Foreign Affairs is described as explosive, as it includes Rena Dourou, Liana Kanelli and Elias Kasidiaris.

It should be noted that the Golden Dawn MP used bodily force against Kaneli and threw a glass of water on Dourou a few weeks ago on a television show.

The work of this committee seems quite difficult for its president Miltiades Varvitsiotis, vice president Angela Gerekou and secretary Mary Yannakaki.

SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras is a member of that committee too. Also, there are 12 former ministers and deputy ministers in the Finance Committee. Committee members that have been in the Finance ministry in the past are Philippos Sachinidis, Anthonis Bezas and Thanassis Bouras. Makis Voridis, Manolis Kefaloyiannis, Alexandros Kontos, Ioannis Lampropoulos, Nikos Nikolopoulos, Michalis Papadopoulos, Paris Koukoulopoulos, Michalis Chryssochoidis and Constantinos Markopoulos have been through other ministries.

The MPs who participate in the Finance Committee are considered the most "privileged" ones since they have more meetings than their colleagues in the other committees and therefore larger compensation (150 euros per meeting).
