«No tanks crushed the lads at Polytechneio. This is one big fairytale and you must stop it», Golden Dawn general secretary Nikos Michaloliakos stated, characterising the specific event as «a dominant myth of the political changeover propaganda».

Speaking on the «Paremvasi» (Intervention) show on Alpha TV, he said «I’m telling you that the court acquitted of this charge the officer that was operating the tank».

Asked if he believes there was a victim in Polytechneio, he replies that «there is a finding from Justice that speaks of victims outside the Athens Polytechnic University grounds».

«The fairytale of Polytechneio was good while it lasted. Those who banked on it, wearing khaki uniforms and socialism, were found on the side of the plutocracy afterwards, playing in the stock market and eating at the expensive restaurants in Kolonaki», he added.
