Samaras-Venizelos get together at 5p.m. local for exploratory mandate

ND and PASOK leaders, Antonis Samaras and Evangelos Venizelos respectively, are to meet in a few hours' time in the framework of the exploratory mandate which Samaras received from Papoulias earlier in the day. The meeting will take place in Parliament.

The PASOK president is expected to renew his proposal for the formation of a national unity government with ND and SYRIZA being the other two main participants.

Earlier in the afternoon, Venizelos had presided at the meeting of his party’s Committee of Election Fight, where they discussed their moves in the coming days. Many of the leading PASOK figures such as Andreas Loverdos and Michalis Chryssochoidis participated in the meeting.

The deepest PASOK woe, however, is that many of the top figures of the movement did not make it to Parliament this time.
