Papademos points to a coalition government after May 6 elections

In his message to the Greek people about the dissolution of the parliament and the announcement of elections, PM Lucas Papademos focuses on the effectiveness of the cooperation among the political forces.

 

He said that "the last 5 months have shown that when faced with big problems and exceptional risks, we can finally work together, we can overcome the differences and chronic pathologies of our political life, we can make tough decisions to ensure a better future. We created a bridge of hope and opportunity."

 

The PM calls on Greeks to choose in the elections the forces that lead the way "which ensures our country's stay in the European Union and the euro."
