Mosialos: We should announce the new PM today if possible

“There is a dire need to reach an agreement for the formation of a coalition government today, and even to announce the name of the new PM”, stressed government spokesman Ilias Mosialos during the morning news show on NET.
 
He said that the participation of the two major political parties is necessary, while noting that it must reach beyond them.
 
“There is no time to lose. The new loan agreement must be voted on so that we can receive the 6th tranche”.
 
Answering a question regarding the composition of the transitional government and why technocrats will take part in it, he said: “In a government of national understanding all parties will have a say in its formation. This is a prerequisite because it cannot be cut off from the political system. The aim is to have political stability”.
