PASOK is "successfully" measuring 10 member variations elected by electoral list in 2009 and in a sense, the then robust parliamentary majority does not exist any longer. This is because of the 160 who were elected, 150 are left as physical presences. It’s just that 3 of the dissenters chose - or just did a favor to the government - to give up their seats to the party rather than become independent or get expelled like the other 7. However, one could note that 10 MPs that were sent to parliament by the Greek people are no longer with PASOK, so there is a political issue of parliamentary majority.

Specifically, 7 of those who left or were removed from the PASOK PG, but remained as members are John Dimaras, Sofia Sakorafa, Vassilis Oikonomou, Vangelis Papachristos, George Lianos, Panagiotis Kouroumplis and now Louka Katseli. George Floridis, Hector Nasiokas and Thomas Robopoulos chose to give up their seats.

In any case, PASOK’s parliamentary power now is at 153 seats, one more than that Kostas Karamanlis’ during his second term, a number by which Papandreou had said at some point that he will never rule by. Perhaps it is for this reason he made so much effort to convince Vasso Papandreou on the need for the enactment of Article 37, as any diversification would bring PASOK to the politically "prohibitive" number of 152 seats.
