In the morning the Square resembled a battle field, when hooded individuals threw Molotov bombs at police, making the situation in the area unbearable for passers-by.
Even the special guards of the Parliament (in the traditional uniforms) had to be removed since they couldn’t breathe.

Incidents occurred as well at the student demonstration in the area of Propilea, where students of secondary education as well as universities were demonstrating against the new measures of the government. Students threw stones at MAT forces and the latter replied with extensive use of tear-gas. Youngsters reacted with Molotov bombs. The individuals moved towards the march of all public servants of GSEE-ADEDI which was in the area…The tension moved towards Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, where protesters tried to jump over the metal fence the police had put up to protect the parliament building.
