"Outbreak" of 8% gains in the ASE

An unprecedented outbreak in the ASE since on the occasion of yesterday’s announcements and Venizelos’ statements on the immediately implementation of measures previously agreed upon with the Troika, the General Index closed with gains of 7.98%, reaching 929 units.

The bank share reactions, which followed its previous day’s collapse, were amazing. The signalman title of the National Bank was boosted by nearly 23%, reaching 3.41 euros, while the picture was similar to other industry stocks, with the relevant index gaining 17%.

Overall, the ratio of upward to downward shares stood at around five to one, while turnover exceeded 62 million euro, which is quite high for the values formed currently in the market.

At the same time, however, the 10-year-bond remains at its lofty heights – since there is no lack of statements on the issuance of the questionable sixth installment, or even the country’s exit from the euro, which does not seem to be subsiding, since the spread rose to 1815 units.

The European climate is very positive due to the fact that a German court found the assistance to Greece to be constitutionally legal. The rise in most key exchanges exceeds 2.5%, while Frankfurt’s Dax has risen above 3.5%.

Dow Jones has been showing 140 units of profit, while the dollar/euro ratio is 1.4050/1.

As it usually happens when shares rally, oil prices are reaching record heights, exceeding 88.30 dollars a barrel, while gold is declining at 1800 dollars an ounce.
