Weather heats up for the weekend

Good weather in most of the country for Saturday July 23rd, with a slight rise in temperature and a few scattered showers in the northwest, while the weather on Sunday will be generally mild.

Saturday, July 23rd

Specifically, temperatures will range between 18 and 3 degrees Celsius in Northern Greece, 21 to 36 in Central and Southern Greece and 20 to 35 in the western parts, while the Aegean islands and Crete will see temperatures rise  tobetween 24 and 32 degrees.

Local strong westerly winds will be prevalent in the southeastern parts of the Aegean sea. Mild variable winds will blow in the Ionian Sea.

Good weather is expected on Saturday in Attica. The temperature will reach 36 degrees. Mild winds are expected in the Saronic Gulf and Southern Euboia.

Good weather is also expected in Thessaloniki on Saturday. The temperature will reach 31 to 32 degrees Celsius. Moderate southerly winds will blow in the Thermaikos gulf during the afternoon.

Sunday, July 24th

There will be sporadic clouds during the midday and afternoon hours in the northern mainland, with a chance of rain on the mountains.

Northwesterly winds will range between 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale and 6 in the south, which will gradually become southerly between 3 and 5 Beaufort. The weather will be mild in much of the country, with a slight increase in temperature and a few scattered showers in the northwest.
