Prosecution for the power cuts
Head prosecutor Eleni Raikou ordered an urgent preliminary investigation on the issue of the supplied power quantity due to the strikes of GENOP-PPC.
UPD:
Head prosecutor Eleni Raikou ordered an urgent preliminary investigation on the issue of the supplied power quantity due to the strikes of GENOP-PPC.
The reason for her intervention was the letter from the PPC administration, whereby the Court’s temporary decision that the power must remain on the levels of June 23, is not applied.
The Court had issued its temporary order on Friday, after the postponement of the trial (for this Monday) on PPC’s request to regard the workers’ strike as illegal and excessive.
The person relevant for PPC’s voltage will be called to testify, and in the case where the Court order is not respected, Raikou has ordered to arrest whoever is responsible.
Meanwhile, no power cuts are expected on Sunday in Macedonia and Thrace due to the strikes.
As announced by the Macedonia-Thrace PPC director Anastasios Mizamidis, “based on information so far, no cuts are expected today in Macedonia and Thrace. In case of change there will be a timely update”.
