«Rendezvous» at Afidnes toll station

The movement against tolls is reacting against the regulation that defines non-payment as a Traffic Code violation, with a rally at the Afidnes toll station. Members of the movement announced that they will seek justice, considering the regulation to be anti-constitutional.

The vice minister of Infrastructure, Giannis Magriotis, repeated in his statements that there will be significant reductions in fares along the unfinished sections of the highways, as well as a general reduction.

Also, discounts will be provided for frequent users, while there will be “significant allowances” for local communities with the electronic tolls. When all these things happen, which will be soon, the reactions will become unthinkable, the vice minister added, stressing that the burden of the reduction in toll fares will will be carried both by the consortiums and the state.
