Commerce suffered the biggest losses

At the start of trading in the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) on Tuesday, equity prices were declining, with the basic share price index down 2.22%, standing at 976.10 points and turnover at 23.853 million euros at 11:15 am local time.

 

At the start of trading in the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) on Tuesday, equity prices were declining, with the basic share price index down 2.22%, standing at 976.10 points and turnover at 23.853 million euros at 11:15 am local time.

The biggest losses were in Commerce, down 5.74 %, Financial Services, down 4.82% and Public Utilities, down 4.20%.

Individual sector indices were moving downwards, with gains only in the Chemicals sector, up 0.44%.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 3.03%, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 2.55% and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 1.49%.

Overall, 12 of the traded stocks were up, 60 were down, and 10 remained unchanged.
