EU: "Give Greece the sixth tranche"
The Troika puts an end to the Greek drama about the sixth installment, which the Eurogroup has asked for and will consider tomorrow.
According to reports from Brussels, the Troika proposes that Greece be given the next installment, although it believes that the dynamics of the government’s debt are “extremely worrying”.
The report has many footnotes and considers the vote on the multiple bill to be a condition for the disbursement of the sixth tranche. The intention of lenders, according to reports from Brussels, is that the next installment be handed out in mid-November.
A European Commission representative, however, clarified that there is no issue of disagreement between the EU and the IMF on the sustainability of the Greek debt.
“The estimates and conclusions of the report reflect the common positions of the Troika, the ECD, the European Commission and the IMF”, he stated.
