Four new arrests for the "Pirines tis Fotias" (Cores of Fire) organization.

The anti-terrorist unit seems to be a hair's breadth away from discovering another terrorist headquarters, after making four arrests that seem to be connected to the "Pirines tis Fotias" organization. The four arrestees have been on the wanted list for some time and seem to be directly linked to the new terrorist group.

The gigantic Police operation took place simultaneously in three different areas: Exarhia, Pangrati and Tavros. Valid sources report that new arrests will be made in the following days. What the Police are looking for are weapons and explosives used in previous terrorist attacks, as well as other material that the group's members might have used in future attacks.

The bombing attack two days before New Year's at the Athens Court, combined with the trial of the alleged members of the terrorist cell on Monday, caused immediate action to be taken by police, who intensified investigations due to the fears of an impending attack. Information abounds that points to the fact that the evidence uncovered after the December 30th bombing led to today's arrests.

Police took measures against a new attack on justice officials, a few days before the hearing. The arrests made today took place under extreme time pressure, since the terrorist group had declared that they would attack near the trial date, which is fast approaching.
