Reshuffle in ND

Antonis Samaras announced changes in the New Democracy leadership, a few minutes after 12pm.

Mr. Samaras is holding on to his two vice-presidents, while he introduces wider areas with sector leaders.

Panos Panagiotopoulos has changed post from Spokesperson to eader of the Foreign Affairs and Defence sector.

The vacant position has been filled by the former CEO of "Eleftheros Typos", Mr. Giannis Mihelakis. A Media sector has been introduced, led by Mr. Simos Kedikoglou.

On the Economy sector, Mr. Samaras remains the leader, with Christos Staikouras, Notis Mitarakis and Kostas Karagkounis as his deputies.

Mr. Kostas Tzavaras is moved from Parliamentary Representative to the Justice sector, with Kostas Karagkounis as an adjunct.

In the Citizen Protection sector, Thanasis Nakos will be leader, while Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains head of the Environment Sector.

In the Transportation sector Mihalis Papadopoulos will be the leader, while Stavros Kalafatis heads the Energy sector.

Thanasis Giannopoulos and Gerasimos Giakoumatos occupy positions as head and alternate of the Health sector respectively, while Aris Spiliotopoulos is responsible for the Education sector.

The Parliamentary Representative position is filled by Mr. Nikos Dendias.
