The powerful blast outside the Athens Administrative Court has caused serious concern and worry to the Antiterrorist Unit. Officers did not expect that two days before New Year’s Eve, certain individuals would engage in such an impressive and symbolic hit.

They were almost excluding the possibility that the «decimated» Cores of Fire Conspiracy (many arrested members) or the Sect of the Revolutionaries would conduct such an attack that requires observation, planning and involves high risk.
«It’s a miracle there are no victims. The explosion was very powerful and according to evidence, the bomb consisted of industrial AMFO, an ingredient that can be manufactured from ammonium nitrate and diesel. They didn’t want to kill but they caused great damage» says an antiterrorist officer.
