UPD:
The Greek justice system is about to collapse due to the amount of unresolved cases.
To give an example, since the 1st of January 2010, there has been a record of 300.000 lawsuits at the District Attorney’s Office in Athens. Impressive is the number of unresolved cases as well. This is the reason that the High Court adjourned Wednesday to find ways to resort to a fastest system that will not backlog lawsuits and other legal cases.
This resulted in the High Court deciding on a smaller amount of postponements and on interrogations and examinations to have a shorter time length. This is the second meeting within two weeks and the law profession is hopeful for changes that will simplify Greece’s legal system.
