Put the blame on…Dora!

As of today, PM Lefteris Avgenakis is no longer a member of the Nea Dimokratia parliamentary group.

The reason is Mr. Avgenakis’s interview to a radio station and his comments on Dora Bakoyianni’s new party “Democratic Alliance”, when he stated that he believes the party will enter Parliament in a forthcoming election.

He also referred to the internal conflicts in Nea Dimokratia, highlighting the fact that some members of the party, especially those close to the leader Mr. Samaras, are “sanctified” and behave like kings.
The Secretary of the Part, Mr. Lykourentzos, commented that along with a statement, Mr. Samaras is asking for the Ethics Committee to deliberate in order to decide on the final expulsion of Mr. Avgenakis.

”We have a clear indication of a plan to destroy N.D’s increasing power and a plan to support the government of PASOK. Party President Mr. Samaras will carry out the wishes of the Greek people that voted for a reborn, responsible and strong party without any internal issue and devoted to the one great duty of helping the country overcome the financial crisis” said Mr. Lykourentzos
