Commission: Move ahead with privatizations

Privatizations move ahead and the majority of SOEs has now moved over to HRADF, the Commission stated in its report on Greece, but there have been recorded delays that have occured, especially in the sale of real estate, lowering the bar for total revenue to 22.3 billion until 2020, from 24.2 that it evaluated in its assessment of July 2013.

Total revenue this year will not exceed 1.5 billion in 2014, and 2.2 billion euros, while in 2016, it's expected to reach 3.4 million.

After the completion of privatization of state lotteries (133 million) and OPAP (622 million) it is DESFA's turn, expected to bring in revenues of 187 million.

TRAINOSE's privatization is in the works, with Rosco and regional airports where the deposit of binding bids is scheduled for the third quarter, while there was an investor selected for Elliniki after the improved economic offer (915 million euros).

The tender for the sale of shares of the PPA began in February and as estimated by the Troika the pre-selection of interested parties will take place on the 2nd quarter of 2014, while binding bids are expected in the 3rd quarter of 2014. It is reminded that Monday, April 28th is the deadline for the submission of formal expressions of interest.
