Privatization of airports issue creates friction
Friction has begun rising concerning the crucial issue of sales of regional airports. Specifically, president of the Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Vasilis Alevizopoulos will forward official complaints on Tuesday against "business and other interests" which want to purchase airports in Crete, Thessaloniki and the Aegean.

As underlined by Mr. Alevizopoulos, both German and other international groups have begun meetings and contacts within the airports put up for sale, having been given access to confidential government data, without even having talked about the price or their intentions.

Parallel reports speak of former executives of the association who are bound under the contracts they had with the Greek state, to not proceed with collaborations with individuals, working at this time as advisors to foreign and Greek firm coalitions.

In an interview on Tuesday, local authorities of places where airport privatizations will take place, will be present.
