ThessISMUN conference opens in Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki International Student Model United Nations 2014 will take place April 23-27
More than 400 students from Greek and foreign universities will participate in the 13th Annual Thessaloniki International Student Model United Nations (ThessISMUN) that opens on Wednesday, April 23 and will run until Sunday, April 27. This year's conference is dedicated to Professor Dr. Athanasios Kaissis, Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the European Patent Academy.
Participants in the conference, hosted by the University of Macedonia, will simulate discussions in different bodies of UN and regional organisations and assume the roles of ambassadors.
Students representing all major Greek universities, as well as, universities in Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, UK, Serbia and Cyprus will focus on issues such as the protection of human rights, education, health and migration.
