A Transexual was killed and another man was seriously injured during an anti-LGBT attack by armed men in Constantinople, as announced by Turkish organizations for LGBT rights.
The transgender was killed on Monday night and was aged 21. According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrators had a gun.
Demonstrations will be held today in central Constantinople, close to where the attack took place.
Although it is a secular state, and one of the few states in the Middle East where homosexuality is legal, Turkey remains a deeply conservative society.
