Adonis Georgiadis: We have minimized the risk of coronavirus spread

"The risk of coronavirus spread has been minimized", stated Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Tuesday morning, speaking to Skai radio. "The 69-year old who got infected by coronavirus MERS was put very quickly in quarantine and the risk for more serious problems has been minimized", the minister added.

He also mentioned that the private hospital to which the patient first went when he arrived to our country from Saudi Arabia, where the most cases have been diagnosed, started moving in the right direction very quickly and he explained that the second driver who took him to the hospital tested negative to the virus.
The 69-year old who has been moved to the ICU of the hospital is in critical conditions, as his health has deteriorated.
"The National Heath System's reaction was prompt and timely", said Mr. Georgiadis, also in regards to the injury of seven people by a firecracker in Oia, Santorini.
