George Papandreou's relaxing Easter holidays in Crete

Former Prime Minsiter George Papandreou chose Crete for his Easter holidays, which is not surprising, since his family ties to the island are now very strong. George Papandreou's family seems to have found the time to rest and relax while enjoying beautiful, warm moments.

In the evening of Holy Thursday, the former PM dined with his fiamily in a known restaurant, while the menu was dominated by seafood. Specifically, the table was occupied by George Papandreou and his wife, Anna, his daughter who studies in Crete and the happy, recently engaged couple of Polina and Andreas Papandreou.

Mr. Papandreou visited that St. Tittos church for a few minutes right after dinner, while security men guarded his every step.

However, his presence has caused a stir throughout the city since the powerful security measures which accompany him have provoked the curiosity of those passing by.

It is noteworthy to mention that for the former PM's visit, there have been two OPKE (Groups of Crime Prevention and Suppression) jeeps as well as security forces.
