Prosecutor: Finish with the audits on depositors

The preliminary investigation officers of the Financial Crime Unit (SDOE) are focusing on all the depositors in the Lagarde list under orders of the Financial Crime prosecutor Panayiotis Athanassiou.
 
This move is part of the broader plan to combat tax evasion and have a faster execution of tax cases. The aim is to have all depositors testify within two months.
 
With his letter, Financial Crime Prosecutor Pan. Athanasiou addresses the preliminary investigation employees of the Unit, to set teams of ordering with auditing duties and will conduct a full audit, which should be completed within a month.
 
Meanwhile, information suggests that the Financial Assistant Prosecutor Yannis Dragatsis will immediately start audits on all the tax offices in Attica. He aims at determining the progress in the execution of the orders given the Financial Prosecutors under the investigation of criminal acts associated with tax evasion.
