Prime Minister Antonis Samaras met with Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras at Maximos Mansion.
The FinMin said they held this discussion in view of Troika’s arrival and that the aim is first to reach an agreement and then get the tranche until March.
"We are planning the next steps," Stournaras said, adding that the representatives of the creditors will come to Athens in the coming days.
Asked about the statement by MEP Liêm Hoang-Ngoc, a member of the Economic and Monetary Committee of the European parliament that investigates the role and function of the Troika, on the request for a debt haircut from the IMF, Stournaras said he is not aware of the statement and cannot comment on it.
