Dendias: Xiros will be outlawed for 4 million euros within the day

Within the day the terrorists wanted by the Hellenic Police will be outlawed for 4 million euros, Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias said.

The bounty mainly concerns Christodoulos Xiros and Nikos Maziotis.

However, according to ministry officials, it also concerns the murderers of the two Golden Dawn members in Neo Iraklio, provided that the information that will lead to their arrest will be confirmed by irrefutable evidence.

Speaking on Wednesday afternoon outside the police headquarters where he met with Police officers, Dendias said they discussed about terrorism and the duty of the Police to cope with the huge challenge it constitutes.

According to the minister, addressing terrorism is directly related to the economic development of the country, and this is why beside the other measures the Greek authorities decided to put out a bounty for the terrorists.

Meeting between Dendias and Athanasiou at the Ministry of Justice

In the morning, as www.protothema.gr was informed, Dendias went to the Ministry of Justice and met with Minister Haralambos Athanasiou.

Main topics of discussion were the tighter guarding of potential targets that might be in the terrorists list and the conversion of the Domokos prison to a maximum security facility in order to transfer there those involved in terrorist organizations and lifers.
 
Their meeting took place in the wake of recent statements and counter statements with which the Minister of Public Order railed against the Minister of Justice and vice versa, in response to the discussion about who is responsible for Christodoulos Xiros’ escape.
