Opinion poll: SYRIZA leads by 3.5 units
The Public Issue poll gives SYRIZA a lead against ND
An opinion poll by Public Issue for the Newspaper of Journalists (Efimerida ton Syntakton) gives SYRIZA a lead of 3.5 points, showing the main opposition party at 31.5% and the New Democracy at 28%.
They are followed by the Golden Dawn with 10%, PASOK and KKE 6.5%, Independent Greeks 4.5 and the Democratic Left with 3.5%.
When asked what government do you believe that can better address the problems of the country, 29% believe a government of New Democracy and PASOK, 26% a SYRIZA government, and 41% say neither.
Asked about the most appropriate prime minister, 39% said Antonis Samaras, 30% Alexis Tsipras and 29% of either of them.
The poll was conducted between 8 and 13th of January on a sample of 1,005 people by telephone interviews and a structured questionnaire. The error margin was set at 3.2%.
